As our communities continue to feel the increased impact of Coronavirus, we feel it is important to share with you what we are doing to help keep people safe and healthy. Please be assured we have protocols in place and are working with the CDC and local public health officials.
With current health concerns surrounding COVID-19 our patients may have questions. One of them is should I go to my scheduled dental appointment?
For your safety we have and continue to work to ensure the health and safety of all of our patients and employees.
We want to inform you that our office is currently treating patients and that we follow CDC protocols including disinfection after each patient, sterilization of all instruments and use of masks, protective eyewear and gloves by all of our clinical staff. We will continue to update these protocols if guidelines change.
You may have noticed that we have removed all magazines, coffee dispensers and children’s books from our reception area and have expanded our disinfection protocol to this area.
At this time health experts, the CDC and the American Dental Association are in agreement that, if you are healthy there is no reason to cancel your dental appointment. Patients should continue to take measures to maintain optimal health including oral health.
We kindly ask you to reschedule if:
- You have cold or flu-like symptoms (including a fever greater than 100.4, cough, difficulty breathing, body aches or fatigue) in the past two weeks.
- You have had recent contact with somebody who was diagnosed with COVID-19
- You have traveled by plane or cruise ship in the last 14 days to an area that has a high infection rate in the population
- We will continue to monitor this situation closely and will update our patients with any new developments. We’ve instructed any of our employees who is not feeling well to stay home out of an abundance of caution and self-monitor their symptoms. We will follow CDC guidance, also local health officials.
Thank you in advance for your understanding as we navigate these uncertain times.
